Dog Man

Dog Man is a popular children’s graphic novel series written and illustrated by Dav Pilkey, featuring a hero who is part dog and part human. The series is presented as a comic book created by the characters George Beard and Harold Hutchins from Pilkey’s Captain Underpants series.

Dog Man was created when a police officer (Officer Knight) and his police dog (Greg) were severely injured in an explosion caused by the villainous Petey the Cat. To save them, a doctor sews the dog’s head onto the human’s body, creating “Dog Man,” a superhero who combines the best of both, the strength of a man and the instincts of a dog.
